They met on the 7th episode of Dragon Ball. Chichi was the persistent one XD Ever since they were young, Chichi would always ask Goku to make her his bride when they’re grown ups, which Goku accepts.

Ah of course. Because if he didn’t, then he should’ve referred to himself as the King of all Saiyans.. but he did not. Most likely it’s because of his pride and as we all know, Vegeta isn’t really good at showing his feelings, or at least that’s how it seems. If you were to ask me, I think respect can’t exist without love.
