If not because of Bulma, Master Roshi wouldn’t have accepted Yamcha as his student. Bulma said she wouldn’t visit Roshi’s island anymore if he doesn’t accept Yamcha and that she still has this new bikini she’s dying to try out… and with that, Yamcha was immediately accepted.
